Visualise the future, Focus on the present and Reflect on the past
This is my philosophy as a photographer:
To visualise, plan and make choices about the photographs I take.
To focus on what's in front of me and the opportunities that come my way.
To reflect on the photographs I have taken, to constantly improve and develop my photographic work.
To visualise, plan and make choices about the photographs I take.
To focus on what's in front of me and the opportunities that come my way.
To reflect on the photographs I have taken, to constantly improve and develop my photographic work.
About Me

When I started developing this website early in 2010 I was an experienced amateur photographer aiming to develop a portfolio and begin to build a career as a self employed photographer.
I started out the year by enrolling in a Cert IV in Photoimaging to really consolidate my knowledge of photography and focus myself on my goal, good plan I thought.
Well that plan didn't work out, but fortunately an even better opportunity presented itself half way through the year, in July I started working at our local newspaper The Advocate as a third year cadet photographer.
The first few months have been a big adjustment, personally and as a photographer, the thrill of my first front page has worn off, but the satisfaction of a well captured image realised in print is my aim every day at work.
Heading into 2011 I want to make the most of my time at The Advocate, to develop my work as a documentary and illustrative photographer and to begin to see the peripheral images as well as the main show.
2011 Up Date
The start of the year has flown by, I've recently bought a Canon 5d Mrk II, the beginning of a professional kit of my own. Work at The Advocate continues to be challenging and yet I still feel compelled to take photographs on my days off.
This site continues to be a showcase for my personal photography, allowing me to display a range of styles and subject matter.
