I've had a full week photographing Devonport from sunrise to sun set, finding interesting perspectives on familiar subjects.

The perfect day to welcome new citizens to this country, a day to share food and culture and sympathy with the whole community. Devonport City Council hosted a fun community event for Harmony Week 2019.
 
Lobster man Todd Walsh and is Giant Tasmanian Lobster mate are asking Australian's to think about how they vote and to consider stepping up to push for change.
I had great day out photographing Giant Tasmanian Freshwater Lobster - Astacopsis gouldi expert Todd Walsh, undertaking a river survey in Northwest Tasmania. Todd has a number of ongoing survey projects, collecting data on the lobsters and monitoring their river systems. Astacopsis gouldi is a threatened species, very venerable to ecological disturbances of it's aquatic habitat from sedimentation, chemical pollutants, temperature rise as well as poaching. Todd has been working with these giant lobster's -the largest freshwater invertebrate on Earth, for more than twenty years. The lobsters are amazing creatures, colourful, agile and humorous.     |
