This week was my Tasmanian Waratah- Telopea truncata week, at the start of the week I went in search of the rich red flowers at a location I regularly visit, to work on a project. But later in the week I encountered the blooms in other locations that I hadn't been thinking about and had other plans- but I could resist photographing them over and over again, find their stage of development, their colour variety and form totally absorbing.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Tasmania.
Wild walking for a cause, National Park and World heritage should be enough to protect land from development by private enterprise- right? Well here in Tasmania it may not be enough so we put our feet, shoulders and bodies out there to show our support - Malbena matters.
