It's been a while since my last post, I've been busy with a range of photographic and video projects - Too busy to blog. However this must be recorded, a group trip with a special bunch of women. We've been walking together regularly through the Covid winter and spring. Early on Deb proposed a trip to the fabled Reynolds Falls, a trip she had undertaken many years ago, one that the rest of us desired to do. Eventually we committed to dates. As those dates grew closer our availability to walk regularly decreased, so by the time a adventure dawned the whole group hadn't been together for weeks. But we were all committed to the trip and come what may we headed out. Fortunately the weather was perfect, a little warm on our first day maybe, but calm and dry until the last couple of km's of our return trek. And it was a trek, we all had big packs, our total distance was around 30km and the time walking (and catching a breath or snack) was about 10hr each day. Every warning about the difficulty of this trip should be headed and if you still plan to do it, be prepared - with fitness, skill and the right equipment. The trip home is harder than the trip out. My only regret is not having more time at the falls. The warm upsREYNOLDS FALLS:
