The spectacular, layered cliffs at Fossil Bluff, were a bit overwhelming.
There is so much to see, fossils and ancient shells throughout the eroded rocks and cliff, layers of hard glacial sedimentary are topped by softer fossil filled sandstone.
At several points there are eroded overhangs where you can see layers of what was once loose rock and shells on the sea bed, now suspended in the roof of the overhang.
This is definitely a spot to revisit, over and over again.
