The Don River Railway is a fun and interesting aspect to Devonports attractions, especially if you like a bit of history anything mechanical and especially Trains.
The trains run several times a day and are driven and manned by volunteers.
Unfortunately it is harder and harder to get the volunteers needed to help out, so if you're in Northwest tasmania and ever wanted to drive a train, think about volunteering. There's plenty of other jobs too.
