The House is a National Trust building, it was built by Joseph and Enid Lyons in 1916, Joe was a Tasmanian Politician who went on to become Prime Minister of Australia.
The Home is open to the public and for a small price you get a very detailed tour, provided by dedicated volunteers.
The home is full of gorgeous furnishings, handmade items made by Dame Enid who was a Politician in her own right after her husband passed away, theirs' is quite an amazing story, much of which you will hear on the tour.
